How many fans do I need?

Cepheus_001

How many fans do I need to make a nice livable habitat for my parts. I don't wanna over cool or heat, just hit that sweat spot. this rig is a micro ATX build for gaming.

Usually you want to balance the number of fans in taking, and exhausting.

CPU: Ryzen 3800X  MOBO: Asus ROG Crosshair VII Hero (Wi-Fi)  RAM: Corsair LPX 3200MHz 35GB (2x16) GPU: EVGA GTX 1080Ti SC2 PSU: EVGA  850BQ  COOLING: Noctua NH-D15  CASE: Corsair Vengeance C70 Arctic White

Just use what comes with the case. Usually like 2. Extra fans doesn't make a big enough difference.

I have 2x120mm on my front radiator, which are are 1300 RPM, and then a rear 140mm AF going about 1800RPM (all is barely sound noticeable) and everything is very cool inside my case. Id say, max of 4 fans, anything more you can hear the hum of your computer more

Based on this you really don't need a whole lot.

Good video. You can make so many configurations with only a few fans and get maximum performance and cooling.

Id rather have positive air pressure due to supposedly a smaller amount of dust build up compared to negative.

Yeah its not supposed to be that big of a difference, but since I went posi pressure I've noticed quite a bit less dust

I modded my case and addex extra filters so my computer has a dual filter system. I even put another magnetic filter on the back so when the PC is off, dust doesnt go in.
