Can you tell me which version of Intel's AHCI driver you have?.

I don't know if I need to return this unit.

This bothers you but downgrading from a 980ti to 960 doesn't? Not trying to be mean but genuinely curious

Current PC: Origin Millennium- i7 5820K @4.0GHz | GTX 980Ti SLI | X99 Deluxe

Your used to the speed of the ssd, so the 1tb offers no improvement in speed, but you do get 500gb of extra space.

I tried a 950 pro and i don't feel it's faster than a standard ssd. In certain workloads yes, but for normal everyday use, no.

Nope no rapid mode. I don't have 950 pro. Tried it on a friend's pc when i was doing the build. Didn't feel very fast.
