Funny title. :DxD

Could be shoddy NV driver as you say. Yeah, I would just downgrade it like you said.

And after all this time i thought it was my GPU having an overclock i even made a thread about it, i'm not happy, never got these problems ever with my much slower AMD card.. i would rather have low performance than none at all.

It could be OC. An unstable OC can cause this and is often the case.

You say BF4 crashes and you get a DX error, does this driver message pop up after the crash or just randomly at the desktop? If you open up event viewer in windows, go to administrative events and look for an event at the time of the  game/driver crash and post the event info here.

I had a problem with display driver crashing once up on a time in windows 8. Turned out to be faulty ram, but it could be a lot of things like the gpu failing, faulty driver install, fucked up registry and so on.

It was random but now every time the GPU spools up into 3D clocks the driver crashes even at stock clocks.

Try and run the Battlefield in compatibility mode, preferably in Windows 7 service pack 1 mode, and let us know. Fixed my issue.

The typical way I get myself into this situation is by not upgrading the driver cleanly, or by having mismatched software/drivers.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!
