A good gtx 980 build (NOT Ti!)

FreddyHunt

I would like a nice gtx 980 build for around 1000$.

I'll use my computer primarly for gaming.

Thanks in advance.

for your budget i would recommend the 970 or 390 over the 980 because the 980 in a $1000 build would create a slight imbalance...

you can remove the ssd for now and add it in next time when you have extra cash for lower budget

a 980 is literally a bit more than 1/3 of your total pc price. 970/390 gogo

Quite a few people complaining about the inclusion of a GTX980 in a $1000 build, yet @FreddyHunt could buy a GTX980 now and skimp to only 8GB of ram and not as much storage (perhaps no SSD or mass storage) and then upgrade later and have a solid platform, rather than getting all the storage and 16GB+ of ram now and then being stuck with a lesser graphics card.

NCASE M1 i5-9600k  GTX 1080 FE Z370N-WIFI SF600 NH-U9S LPX 32GB 960EVO
