Erhm.. The card isn't really even out yet so we dob't know but we can assume that a pro duo has roughly the same performance as two Fury Xs. When it comes to scaling the fury x outcalls 980Tis and even titans. They are quite equal at two cards but when it comes to three GPUs the fury x wins. Actually, if you remember Linus' video about scaling, he found the best performance on 3XSLI. It was when you did 4XSLI that things started regressing.

yeah newer drives have changed that, benchmarks from 6 months ago are irrelevent, look up newer ones

either way, it doesnt matter, because two fury Xs will perform the same and cost less anyway compared to the Duo

So you essentially just said you can buy three fury Xs for less money than the Pro Duo

The card isn't even out yet (and yes this is the third time I've said this but people seem to ignore it). Most people in this thread say that they can't see any advantages with the card I can say two simple ones right here. (Realistic Scenario) I want the power of 4 fury Xs but my MOBO only has three GPU slots for cross fire, hmm what can I do? Well buy a card with almost the same price of two fury Xs and almost the same performance. (another Scenario) My case only has a front 360mm or 240mm rad but I want a card that has similar performance as 4 Fury Xs what can I do? Buy two Pro duos for a similar price and get similar performance but it still can fit in my case.

they are the SAME GPUS

if anything the Duo will be downclocked a little because of the efficiency

 

So no, it will 100%not outperform two fury Xs

1) Yes I even said that the pro duo won't be as good as two fury Xs but it will still have similar performance.

2)Depends on the 980ti both the price and performance; if I get a cheaper 980 ti it will have worse performance and cooling.

3)Still a cost that can easily be avoided. Scenario: In my PC i've got the asus x99 pro/ usb3.1 which has 3-way ski and 4-way Crossfire it costs 331 dollar (In the us even more expensive in sweden) And then I want to upgrade to a MOBO with 4 way sli/crossfire that's the obvious upgrade to the asus rampage v extreme  which has both 4-way SLI/CF. It costs 519 usd(even MORE expensive in Sweden). That means to save some money and buy 4 fury Xs you have to spend 519 dollars on an upgrade and do what with your current MOBO?

4)Yeah, sorry I was calculating with the Swedish price of the fury Xs and the US price of Pro duo(1500usd since I don't know the Swedish price of it yet)

 

And you still seem to disregard the advantages of the pro duo, less space for the actual card, less space for the cooler, less GPU. :S

That GPU cost more than my entire gaming PC, including monitor lol

The only problem is built in crossfire that can't be disabled.
