actually a lot more people than you think only has 2 or 3 pcie slots as im not only talking about small cases but also matx motherboards. and i remember that a lot of people on this forum was arguing for the titan z saying you dont understand its an card for professionals that extra cost is nothing to them compared to saving space except it was a triple slot card so yay you saved 1 slot for more than 1000 dollars extra cost. 

 

so if 1000+ dollars for 1 slot is a good deal apparently then 2 slots for 200 dollars is like being offered gold bars for 100 dollars per ounce in fact it literally about the same ratio

3 used 980ti's? Yeah right I could totally get that here in Sweden at our ''blocket'' which is essentially our eBay yeah sure... So far I've found one seller for a GTX titan and an old one. Sweden doesn't have that kind of market. So stop spouting ridiculous nonsense which doesn't apply to everyone not even close to anyone.

Sooo... $500 is not realistic most of the time. but they can be had for $575 used pretty easily (Here) or from EVGA B-Stock for $599 (Here). So we'll say $1200 for two 980ti's or $1800 for three.

 

Just a quick note, Just because Sweden doesn't have that kind of market doesn't mean that these numbers don't apply to a large group of people and therefore they should be shared. No need to flame someone because they said something that doesn't apply to every person on earth, It applies to them and many others and is therefore valid but can be ignored by you.

I saw this mentioned elsewhere... remember that the R9 Nano uses the same chip as the Fury X and this Pro Duo.

Same Chip

Same 4GB HBM1 VRam per chip(4+4=4 in this case, the 8GB's listed is NOT cumulative for crossfire)

 

AND: R9 Nano = $499

only thing it's missing is some better cooling.

yes because the only use of gpu is gaming thats why amd mentions vr development because they intend it to be only for gaming right? and because more than 50% of gamers doesnt have the bank to dish out 1500$ the card is worthless so amd shouldnt make a gpu any more than 200 dollars to make sure most people can afford it. amd should just ignore markets that doesnt draw the majority of people

there will always be AMD fanboys that buy that stuff

I agree the only slim use for it would be that you can't fit  two all in one coolers from your GPU's but even that is pretty dumb.

This card is a halfway point between Radeon and FirePro, and is meant for VR devs, VR collages ect. It makes sense.

EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB ACX 2.0+ SC+ <--- this is is 550£ on amazon uk so two of these would be 1100£ that's

Could we not bash a product with the next product line until they are out? its like people starting to bash pascal and polaris as soon as they are released because AMD and Nvidia has something else on the roadmap.

I never said that two 980tis are cheaper than $1500 elsewhere, my point is that two 980tis or fury Xs are cheaper than the Duo Pro

And polaris+pascal will also be cheaper and perform better

And what im saying is that they waited way too long to release a niche flagship card

it is just two fury Xs, so it is impossible for it to perform any better than two separate fury Xs or 980tis

 

Now AMD is releasing this flagship card months before two brand new GPU architectures

It will be last gen in less than a year, then enthusiasts will buy the better options

 

Do you see anyone buying the 295x2 now that fury X and 390x and 980ti exist?

Sure its "exclusive" and rare, but its last gen

Why would an enthusiast buy last gen hardware
