Being there is a specific error for this very obscure situation, im going to go on a limb and say this isnt a bug or unintentional

this reminds me of the error that says you are not allowed to move a folder inside itself

 

Bah, they've changed it!  >:( Now it's like "the destination is a subfolder of the source folder"
