Broadwell or Haswell?

Hi im looking to upgrade in January since my computer wont run star citizen well. Do you guys know what is better and should i wait for Broadwell?

 

I currently have a FX-6300 its good performance for the price but i want a 4 core i5.

the 6300 should be fine

Yeah but then there is always "but if you wait for that the next thing is going to come out next year" Might as well go with Haswell.

true but it all depends on how much patience you got and how much money you got and willing to spend

I'm still on Sandy Bridge and don't see much reason to upgrade the platform yet.

There will be a Haswell Refresh in Q2 - 2014

I would still take haswell, Broadwell wont bring much for PC gamers, once again the whole "power savings/die shrink" BS that doesnt matter to us.

I would maybe get a good cooler like a H100i and overclock it or I would get Haswell since the performance difference from Haswell to Broadwell would be around 10% which isn't much imo.

See how the game runs first. Upgrade if necessary but don't do it beforehand.
