ltt rant. vessel and other stuff that pisses me off

ok first thing : 

anybody can have their opinion. that said. if your a mod / admin / ltt member. please respect that. and talk with me via msg if you want to take this down. and please explain.

keep in mind that the names I bring out are not for personal attacks or anything. more about examples and redirecting to the person who I think is in charge of the subject. apart from @LinusTech

ok. for starters. im not the voice of god. im not in any way better at running a buisness than anyone. but there are things that even I can see, makes no effin sense.

vessel vs youtube : sometimes I can be wrong. and believe somebody made a clear statement when in fact they didn't. ebcause for  some reason it still happens. and thats something that shoudn't.
 @nicklmg I don't get why in the vessel release of the cable management video, the giveaway part is not there at the end. I mean, the point is not that im mad cus I could have missed a giveaway had it not be some guy posting a random thread on the forum. but more about the fact that its the same thing that happened with today's release, about the powersupplies. (the experiment with the strawpool that was never linked.) or the G933/633 headset missing the audio sample. (mind you that was more of a "lets make people think its bad by dropping it from our head cus why not" video) at least for the vessel upload.   
 

it feels like you guys just don't care about people who are on vessel. I mean, if you are going to go out and ask (fig.) for money by uploading a week early and go as far as to wear the promotional shirts in the videos.
why don'T you guys deal with this stuff ?  why promote a broken (lets not kid ourselves with this) platform that you guys don't even care about ? feels like you guys are trying to scam people for a month or two then let everything be as if you didn't knew it was a thing.

it would be really cool if we could get everything and not have to re-watch again a week later just to make sure we got everything. im paying to get content early, not to be a lab rat.
 

 

 

ok. for stuff thats not vessel.

it would be really nice. if when you guys do experiments. (say today's psu video @Slick ) that you guys would provide an actual datasheet. something to rely upon and to make some more testing ourselves. I mean, the point of the video was about different wattages, not different efficency ratings. and you guys didn't even compare 2 psu's with the same rating and 2 different wattages !  maybe its a mistake, but really, howcould someone not notice it went out of subject ? (disregard if it has been but too late. but then again, why post something that is wrong ?) unless you remove the video later but thats just being a dick to the audiance. and im pretty sure thats not at all the point. afaik you guys try your best to not bring us false information. [insert linus's quote of Gabe Newell's quote here if I can find it] . anyway.  I hope you guys understand this. and as always, im open for discussion about any info that might be missleading or badly explained (its kinda late after all  )

no. not when the user is putting money down with a decent ammount of expectation. im sorry but if I pay to see ltt videos in advance, I don't want to see a video missing parts
I pay to see the whole video in advance.

its more about the content in them not being the same. sometimes (and they don't even bother uploading a fixed video for this.) its just flat out missing a part. one thats kind of important to the video. and they never tell anything. as if nothing happens...

Could you give a proper example of the unfixed content on vessel ? If its too much to ask , Could you go into detail's of this issue. I feel like your rant is short. Thank you.

I am fairly sure most people prefer it this way.

My only complaint about Vessel is that in every single YouTube video I've watched, when they mention Vessel they never mention how cheap it is. I normally watch on my phone so I never bothered checking out Vessel before until last week and I was shocked to find it was only $2.99/month. Heck, I pay $4.99/month to sub to @Slick's Twitch.

I like the idea of more "formal" testing in the new workshop segments. Having more direct comparisons and a data sheet are great ideas. It's a new segment, so seeing it get polished up like this would be nice. All in keeping the same live testing style.

Yeah this is something we can work on. We're never quite sure the best way to handle it though since early viewers will skew poll results and stuff..

I think it's because not everybody uses vessel. And they put giveaways in YouTube to reach a bigger audience. Putting the guvaway would make the giveaway longer(vessel uploads 2 weeks earlier than YouTube)

im not exacly sure how answering a pool early would skew the resaults. I mean, if the poll is on strawpool, isin't it up for an infinite ammount of time ?  (unless there is a time limit that im unaware of)

how about at least some kind of message ? saying that starting [whatever date] this is happening : [insert pertinent info here]  so that at least the viewers would be made aware that something is coming ? would be much more interesting to know something and have to wait, than just never know unless you happen to find it by accident on the forum.
