I'm planning to have all the parts in this part list bought and put together before roughly June. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/TqRMRB

I was wondering if there's any suggestions that someone would have as in using other parts or or other options.

What is your full budget? Also why do you want to do a custom loop on your CPU?

[CPU-i5 4690k] [MB-Asus Maximus VII Hero] [GPU-Asus Matirx 980ti] [Ram-8GB Corsair Vengeance ram] [ Cooling-Corsair H100i/ 3 Noctua NF-P12 for intake] [sSD/HDD-120GB evo/ 1TB WB Caviar blue] [Case-NZXT H440] [Dell U3415W]

$2000 is my max, and I was wanting to do a custom loop because I planned on overclocking both the cpu and gpu.

I would get a slightly beefier power supply, to allow for an upgrade path. 450W is fine for an i7 + GTX 960, but if you ever upgrade your GPU for example, you might be on the short side.

My current build :

Hurricane Mk.I

  • CPU - Intel Core i5-4690K @ 4.6 GHz ~ 1.25V
  • Cooling - Corsair H60 2013 Edition
  • Motherboard - Gigabyte Z97MX-Gaming 5 (mATX)
  • RAM - 16 GB DDR3-1600 Avexir Core Series (Red LEDs)
  • GPU - XFX Radeon R9 Fury X @ 1100/500 MHz -24 mV
  • Case - CoolerMaster MasterCase Pro 3
  • SSD - 256 GB ADATA SX900
  • HDD - 1 TB Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM
  • PSU - Corsair RM750 (750W 80+ Gold)
  • Display - LG 34UM67-P Ultrawide (Freesync)
  • Keyboard - CM Storm Quickfire TK (Cherry MX Red) + CM Masterkeys Pro S RGB (Cherry MX Blue)
  • Mouse - Razer DeathAdder 2013
  • Audio - Sennheiser HD598 SE with detachable mic
  • OS - Windows 10 Home Edition
  • VR - Lenovo Explorer Windows Mixed Reality Headset
  • Laptop - ASUS K501LX with i7-5500U and GTX 950M

Would you recommend about a 750W?

Unless your getting a 980 or higher its a waste of money to watercool, with the money you could get a better GPU and maybe even CPU

600W would be plenty, although it never hurts to have more than enough.

The main reason for the water cooling is 60% functionality and 40% aesthetic.

It seems that you were wasting money on things that didnt need so much. For overclocking on the 980 Ti, use the custom water cooling from corsair and msi

Is there a way as to where I can still have my custom water cooling, but still have better stuff for under $2000?

No...you dont need a custom water cooling loop. I put on the H100i GTX because it can keep your cpu really cool. They are a pain to setup and pointless. I'd recommend what i said and then get the custom water block for the 980 Ti from corsair or get the R9 Fury (much less hassle to setup...)

The best build was my build (self-loathing)...not even kidding. For $100 more, I got you much better stuff (especially that 980 Ti)
