Try saying something in the way that someone without a lisp says things. It's all about the way you move your mouth when you talk. With enough effort and training, you can get rid of it. The earlier on you try the easier it'll be. It is possible so work at it.

How do you get rid of a lisp

hahah you haven't even responded to this thread but you changed the avatar.

Ok, the best speech advice I can give other than getting professional help is slowing down and mindfulness. Seems obvious, but if you go as slowly as possible and constantly remind yourself of the impediment, your speech will change over time. this obviously does not work with mental issues, but it does help with some physical things, like braces. If you don't have braces, there's probably something dental going on, something with your front teeth ect, so it's something braces may actually solve. Talk to your dentist among other people.

geez guys some posts are really mean, it can hurt :P

Anyhow! I had a small lisp when I was younger and one of my friends in high school. made fun of me constantly, I had to talk slowly and be sure to pronunce shit right to avoid the shaming, it worked though, so thank-fuck-him :P

Try to do some practice pronuncing words you find difficult and try adjusting how you pronounce it, see a speech therapist if you can, but don't worry, you can get rid of it most of the times :3

It's a speech impediment which means that when you say the letter 's' it comes out as a 'th' sound.
