Swiftech X2 vs EK Predator AIO

1. Anyone have any good reviews for new Swiftech X2 series yet?

2. Any comparison between X2 series and EK Predator?

3. Anyone know if Swiftech AIO are normal sized? Meaning EK predator runs a bit longer due to where Res and Pump are located at. I couldn't fit EK 360 Predator in my case was off by .5". If Swiftech is normal sized I could fit the 320 version in my case.

4. Between EK Predator and Swiftech X2(Eloop version) series. Which is considered better choice? Looking for low noise and good temps.

Current Build: Project Frost
Gaming Rig Build: Project Ice Dragon

the x2 was just released...

there arent going to be any reviews yet

the predator had a leaking issue which has been corrected, so if you buy one make sure you get a new model, not one a few months old

1. No

2. No but they should be very comparable.

3. Normal length but not normal depth, the res is obviously mounted in an odd spot that will not help compatibility.

4. EK is insanely stupidly overpriced. IMO get an x61 and some nice fans and call it a day. The X2 will also be a little bit over priced, but between the two the X2 (from past experience) will probably be better.

280>=360 with equal quality fans

I currently have EK. I don't know if I want to risk installing another predator in my PC. Few board have shown theirs still issues with rev 1.1.

buy a sealed AIO then

its safest

nobody has had one of the new swiftech coolers for long enough to know if there are any leaking issues

get a kraken or H100iGTX/110iGTX

Corsair AIO are horrible. None of the software ever worked for me.

I can just swap EK for Swiftech very easily at the store. Don't think they carry NZXT.

just because you had a bad experience does not make a product horrible

corsair AiOs (the GTX ones) are made by asetek which is the best AiO OEM in the world

corsair link is an extra feature which is option al, you dont need it for the cooler to work

but you probably dont know how to set it up correctly because I've had it working for over four years with no problem

I know exactly how to set it up. This isn't my first time installing and setting up an AIO. Software was just poorly coded.

It's insanely over priced. It can't even actually be expanded in a reasonable fashion because they only use one qdc fitting.

Dude I have a custom watercooled computer with basically all ek parts. I know their quality. It's still insanely overpriced for the functionality and utility it gives you.

So if you look at Swiftech's 240X, that is £155 here in the UK, for a 240mm radiator, if you compare that with the EK Predator 360mm, the EK Predator 360mm gives you an easily expandable loop, a 360mm radiator, better pump, three fans with a better design and better quality components.

So it is not overpriced, if you take the EK Predator 240mm and Swiftech 240X, the EK Predator 240mm is only £5 more expensive, for a much better design and more quality components.

Yes, compare the two of most overpriced AIOs on the market and call the difference aesthetic and subjective then say the higher priced AIO isn't overpriced...

The EK predators aren't even easily expandable with QDC because they don't have enough QDC connections to properly connect to additional parts (aka you can't even daisy chain predators...)

Please just stop. You are missing the point completely, and clearly neither of us is going to change our minds.

(Also note my point of view is in US dollars where the Predator 240 is 199.99 USD and the H240-X, is 149.99.)

I would say get a Corsair AIO, don't use the software, slap on aftermarket fans like Noiseblockers, Noctua, Phanteks, or Fractal Venturi's, and have the lowest temps out of both.  That and if you ever have an issue you have the glory of Corsair's warranty system and smooth RMA's.  But between the two--I'd say the Swiftech is likely better as their H240X has beaten the H110i GT / GTX, and the Predator 360 hasn't.

Finally found one in stock myself, just ordered a 220x2 non prestige to replace my corsair h60 - the corsair allows me to hit 4.9ghz at 1.3v and keep temps under 95 degrees under extreme stress tests. . . so I'm hoping this will get me to the 5ghz mark.
