 So, I may be in the US.. but I'm curious, if the value of CAD goes down closer to USD, does that just mean it cost less to buy products or USD, or whats the "Exciting" part for Cad being slightly lower when it equals 1 buck? Can someone explain for me?

if you're a US resident doing a trip to Canada, it's time to hunt for deals...if you can find items at decent prices, then for you it will be a VERY good deal.

If you are in Canada and want to purchase something from he us for 50 USD it will cost 71 CAD. If they were equal it would cost 50 CAD.

So that's why people want it to become equal, because buying things in USD become the same as in CAD.

Yeah -.- was thinking of buying a phone from the US recently but then I found out the one I wanted is $205 USD which doesn't sound that bad but translates to almost $300 CAD. Yikes.

Some Americans last week drove all the way up from Montana to buy a car I was selling for only 500 bucks. Looks like they only paid $350 for it then. I'd love to live and work in the US close to the border of Canada right now, they're going nuts with their dollar.

From an economic standpoint the low CAD will actually be really good for growth. There should be a massive increase in Canadian exporting.

I know all that, but my point being trump has a very good chance of causing things that would cause the world to lose faith in the USD, and/or causing other countries to call their debt destroying the U.S. (plus Canadians are technically Americans, since it is in the Americas.)
