Le- is from "legend", which in italian translates to "leggenda". -novo comes from "novus", which means "new" most of the times in latin. However it can also mean things like "novice" or "inexperienced": whoever came up with that name should have looked up the meaning of novus better. Really it doesn't sound genius at all, I hate it.
