Hey guys, I'm new here. I want to spread the word for my gofundme. I am raising money to build a beastly pc strictly for folding at home. The gofundme will fund the pc and the power bill to run it. Any donation helps, not spam just trying to make a difference! Help be part of the reasearch, I think alot of people will agree when I say that something has to be done about cancer.

As much as I hate to say this, threads like these have been locked in the past for breaking rules.

He posted the same thread thirty minutes ago.

How is wanting to advance cancer research being a money whore? Also, never said it was for one computer, plus electricity costs money too...

Make a difference elsewhere. The forums are not for money begging.

Hello everyone. I see how the claim could look a little ridiculous.

We don't know the age of this person though and maybe they're inspired to build AWESOME supercomputer rigs like TTL and the LTT team.

I've thought about doing something similar to this however, instead of having it be a personal machine, I would search/raise funding through an academic environment and then building it as a school-funded project, owner by the school, powered by the school, and ran by me.

You might consider that road.

Never said the 5k was for 1 computer....

But you did say this:

I want to build >>a<< super powerful computer

Why is the God of Hyperdeath SO...DARN...CUTE!?

Also, if anyone has their mind corrupted by an anthropomorphic black latex bat, please let me know. I would like to join you.

It wouldn't be a personal rig...but something that I set up to run smoothly and check every once in awhile to make sure its ok

I've already locked the first topic that you created. We do not want advertising on this forum as per the Code of Conduct.

FYI, you do not need a $5000 machine to be competitive with folding@home. I currently rank in the top 0.5% in the world and I use a 660 Ti.
