  1. Here's how I fixed it. - Use a USB 2.0 port - Install BOTH versions of the software - I tried using just the newer one but the older one seems to be running and I can't delete it. So I assume both. Use the NEW software to apply settings to the mouse. Do not use the old software. - Update your Microsoft.net 3.5 Framework. This should happen through Windows update, but if it doesn't I'll post a link. - This mouse uses the normal Microsoft HID driver. It doesn't NOT require a separate "driver" download. It DOES require a separate software download. NEW Software downloa
  2. Hey all, I just got a new RAT 8+ mouse to replace my trusty RAT 7. I plugged it in and it works great, but every time I apply a new profile (DPI updates, lighting updates) using the latest version of the FLUX software, the mouse quits working. Specifically left click, right click, or any other button. I'm using a USB 2.0 port because I saw that was recommended. I followed all of the instructions on the Madcatz website RAT 8+ FAQ page to no avail. (https://www.madcatz.com/En/Support/FAQ) I saw some people talk about firmware updates but I can't find th
  3. Waste of my time, waste of your time to bother writing this.
  4. Hi all, Whenever my computer restarts, a number of the USB ports are disabled. **My devices are all working properly once I disable and re-enable the ports. It's not a device driver issue.** I can't get a pic of this because I can't open snipping tool because my keyboard is disabled a the beginning. Hardware: - Win 10 - ASUS 990FX R2.0
  5. Hi all, I have a friend who has a low-volume, audio info product he wants to distribute with an app. Distributing the audio files via CD is too old fashioned. Goals: One-click solution for getting all the files on their device. For example: The user receives a confirmation email with a link to allow them to download the app. They click the link and the app installs on their device as downloaded from Amazon S3 or Drive or Dropbox or whatever. Protect the files (remote streaming in-app would accomplish this, but it's fine if they're built it) B
  6. I see SO many stories of "ASUS support SUCKS" or "Razer support was awful. Never using them again. Don't bother." I sent my ASUS card in for a fan replacement and it went just fine. Razer's support was even better. I, like many users, had the screws for the back panel on my laptop fall out. I bought my Blade off of Craigslist and it's a 2014 model. Anyways, I wanted to put some GOOD PR on them so here is my entire email transcript. Thanks, Razer! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  7. I would also advise you to cut the mouse pad. Just get a Steel Series or Corsair one (unless you are really picky). They are both great. REINVEST the money from the mousepad to a better dongle. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JD9GN6I/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A24Y22QERZZ9SS
  8. Hey all! My name is Matt. I'm 22. Pretty relaxed when playing games. Reasonably skilled. Central time zone. Just looking for some people to play Planetside 2 with most days. I like flying a lot, but play heavy or medic on the ground as the team needs. Main character is TR on Emerald Other chars. are NC on Emerald and NC on Connery. Please comment here THEN add me via Steam. https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198015374828/ Message me when I'm on and we can get on each other's Discord servers. I'm also up for Dirty Bomb, the
  9. Hi all, A few months ago, I got two 3TB WD Red Drives to use as backup drives within my computer. What is the best way I can back up all of my data to BOTH of them so that the drives are clones of each other? Is Windows Backup trustworthy? Or is there something that's a little more transparent. Thanks,
  10. Can you link me some recs? Just looking to explore a bit. Maybe I could use my Blade for most things and then the laptop can be a more stationary thing even though it'd be a dick to carry. They are coming out with some nice suitcase/cases for that stuff..
  11. Allow me to clarify: I'm not talking about remote PC access. I'm talking about a subscription service to a gaming PC... JayzTwoCents reviewed it... but I can't find it right now. Does that help?
  12. Hey all, My life is now taking me very much on the road. But my work has become much much After Effects heavy. My primary line of work is video editing with stuff other people have shot and just want me to put together and make look nice or make cool AE intros. My current build chugs on some stuff... (AMD 8350, 16GB RAM). CPU usage is mostly maxed, and RAM is ALWAYS maxed. I am often working between Premiere and After Effects so I much prefer to keep both open. I already have an SSD. While building a BA new rig sounds nice, my travels are taking me to Thailand, Mexico, and Ber
  13. I do have SSD system drive. Not for editing. How do you set that up?
  14. >Copy footage from SD cards to WD Black editing drive >Import directly into Premiere timeline (no conversion, clips from my cams are 1080p mp4 though I have had to convert some .movs lately) >Create graphics and edit audio as needed (Audition and After Effects... Get's RAM intensive here) >Cue renders of various cuts of video in Media Encoder If I continue working while encoding, which I can barely do right now, then I can end up with up to four programs open at once (PR, AE, AU, and ME) (plus Chrome... RAM hog haha).
  15. Maybe a 1070 would do more good than new mobo/processor? Hmmmm.
