Le Max Pro - World's first phone with Snapdragon 820 chipset and Wi-Fi 802.11ad

Le Max Pro is a Chinese company which is apparently creating some powerful phones from the last year.

 

At CES 2016, It announced the World's first Smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset and Sense ID. 

 

Sense ID is an ultrasonic-based fingerprint scanner, that’s supposed to deliver better performance when compared to the capacitive sensors found on many smartphones today.

 

 

The successor to the much maligned Snapdragon 810, the 820 is supposed to deliver 40% higher graphics performance at 40% lower power consumption.

 

The Le Max Pro also features support for the WiFi 802.11ad standard. Operating in the 60 GHz band, WiFi 802.11ad enables very high data transmission rates (8 Gbps), with a big caveat: the range is very small and you need direct line of sight between devices. In short, this standard is useful for transmitting heavy data streams, like uncompressed video, between a smartphone and, say, a hi-res TV. Given its main business, Letv is very interested in this application, but it’s safe to say that very few users will be able to use WiFi 802.11ad in the next couple of years.

Letv always seems impressive, but they get no reviews and it's hard to get them shipped to you since many big resellers like gearbest or banggood don't really stock them either.

 

 

Also them not having European languages kinda sucks. I wanted to get my mom Letv 1s, but we got LG G Flex 2 for similar amount and that seemed to be a better decision, since LG has warranty and languages and the price/specs is similar.

First HTC One M7 had those white lines at the back.

 

M7 was released on Feb 2013, iPhone 6 was released on Sep 2014.

 

It's everyone is copying the HTC devices, not Apple devices.

Those lines are antennas that can't go through aluminum well so they put them on the bacl

First HTC One M7 had those white lines at the back.

It's everyone is copying the HTC devices, not Apply.

You also forgot that the white lines are not for decoration. They are required for the antennas to work, if you also want an aluminum unibody.

It's like complaining that all WiFi antennas look the same, and that Asus are copying Linksys or whatever.

Forgot to say that I am very excited for this phone. Not because I am going to buy it but because I am hoping the Snapdragon 820 not only fixes all the issues with the 810, but also improves upon it.

Those lines are antennas that can't go through aluminum well so they put them on the bacl
