Best Graphics card for 300$?

crockatower3

I'm planning to buy a graphics card for my system. But I'm having a hard time in choosing cause there's a lot too choose from.

Planning to use it for Photoshop, Unity 3d and gaming that will run on high settings 1080p.

Was choosing from all of this

r9 280x
r9 380x
gtx 960
r9 285

Any ideas?

300$

I'm assuming you're from America? A 390 will be the best choice.

Out of the ones you mentioned, the 380X will perform the best.

Some 970's are a little over 300, but for 300 there are many AMD options. The R9 390 is about 330, but the 380 is cheaper.

If you're able to stretch out to an R9 390, go for it.

Otherwise, the 380x is a solid choice.

For sub 300 - it seems as if the best is the 380x mentioned - possibly a used card could get you higher performance

If you're in the US, you're better of waiting a few days until you find $30 and can get a 390 than buying a 970 or a 380x right away.

$30 is a lot where I live due to the difference in cost of living and the exchange rate, but does a meal at an inexpensive restaurant in the US cost like $10 anyway?

I would say that a 970 is better than a 380x

Not sure about a 390, though.
