Also on 7 when trying to install its driver?

If all have issues I'd be willing to say that the sound chip may be gone.

Im fliping a pc and i have a problem, in it is a Asrock 960GC-GS FX which say's that it has support for Windows 10. It uses a Realtek ALC662 chip for audio.

I have installed windows 10 Pro (22H2), installed all drivers with windows update, and afther that i noticed that audio is not working.

Strange, i open device manager and im greeted with this (atachment aa.PNG).

Alright, nothing hard, I go to the driver page of the motherboard (atachment ab.PNG), download it and install it. Restart, nothing! WTF??

I search on google to find the driver, i go to the official realtek website and download drivers. Nothing!

I try to manualy install drivers afther unzipping them, windows says no compatible driver's found.

When I plug usb headphones everything work's but again what if someone who is going to use this uses 3.5mm headphone's or need's 3.5mm microphone jack.

Please help! Tnx.

You could try this : https://www.rtl-drivers.eu/download-ALC662-sound-driver-for-Windows10-64bit.html

Make us some screenshots when you get messages, for example the window with "driver installed".

Windows Update gives nothing ? (screenshot)

Did you try this : https://www.intel.fr/content/www/fr/fr/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html (edit : sorry, not Intel)

Just to be sure.

Everytime I update Realtek sound driver it happens in 2 times.

First it deinstalls the previous driver. Reboots.

Then it installs the new driver.

I'm not sure which I see in your screenshot.

Is even there a driver for windows 10 because in the driver subfolders it says "vista/vista64". It's very strange that windows cant find them.

edit: is there a custom driver?

Could you try like a live linux boot drive like a ubuntu drive?

Or an old os like win 7? Just to see if the sound chip is even functional

Also hope you dont expect much monry amd fx stuff is seen as completly useless for all purposes these days

Sidenote sometimes on older systems ive had to instal launch or near launch 10 and then the drivers will keep working throughout the version upgrades

Here in Croatia you can actualy expect a lot of cash for something like this.

Anyways I tried live boot from Kali linux, but this time its a different result, it completly doesn't recognise it.

I will now try Hirens boot cd (comunity updated ver).
