It's not necessarily the brand, more like the Chipset that's used, and the original specifications that make the difference. Brands like EVGA, Asus, MSI etc only change the coolers on GPUs while Nvidia and AMD are the original designers and creationists.

Don't trust brands, look at the individual products.

However, as a general rule: MSI, Sapphire, XFX and Powercolor for AMD cards, EVGA, MSI, Gigabyte and GALAX for NVIDIA cards.

MSI so far has made really well designed and performing coolers for both the green team and the red team. Now, I would totally just buy one from EVGA/Sapphire if I were buying a new GPU, but if I wanted good looks and performance I'd get MSI.

I don't trust brands. Research products before buying them. Brand loyalty and brand trust are stupid.

Brand trust is not stupid. It's a matter of customer service.

Even the best product can be doa. If the brand is good then they will take care of you.

I will buy from a company that I know has good customer service because I know they will take care of me if there is something wrong.

A good company makes products which don't break, and which do Not need customer service lol.

Gigabyte, only the best experience with their products.

Offtopic: I've seen many MSI MBs die after a pretty short time, correct me if I am wrong.

If you can show me a company with a 0% rma rate for a product I'll buy from them every time. That doesn't happen though. My point was even the best product can arrive doa or die early. It happens and there's nothing you can do about that.

EVGA 1st, MSI 2nd.

I know for a fact my next card will be the Titan/Ti Pascal card from EVGA. Their customer support is unparalleled and I love the fact I can disassemble the card to water cool without breaking warranty.

I find that Zotac are generally quite good for Nvidia too.

BFG

On a more serious note, I like the design of the Twin Frozr coolers, they seem to be up there with the best of them.

Do I trust MSI though? I guess I do, kind of, but they have been caught in the past overvolting GPUs to improve overclocking without telling the customers and with nVidia specifically telling them not to... Also they sold me a B75 motherboard that says overclocking on the side of the box but it does no such thing. That 3570K was a waste of money.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.
