Do you overclock your parts? I leave my GPU, CPU, and RAM at stock clocks due to the heat output. It is not like my cooling cannot handle it, its just that the room heats up way to quickly.

I also added monitors, because I do have mine pushing 75hz.

What about you?

No overclocking anyhwere for me now, because CPU stock cooler.. GPU has a shit cooler and dont see value in OC'ing RAM. Dont see a reason for me to OC monitor too.

Will probably OC GPU once I get a new one (not CPU, because I will probably get a locked one with a stock cooler). so yeah

Manually set a custom framerate and resolution. Some monitors like the DVI-only qnix 1440p PLS panels can hit 120hz+

I was kinda conflicted on how to answer, as I have OC profiles but currently don't use them, mostly because I don't need to.

I only overclock my GPU and there is only one computer in the house that can actually get a benefit from overclocking that GPU. All of the others either have a small GPU that sees little improvement or has a processor that is too slow/old to keep up with an overclocked GPU.

I have a (i think) 60hz VGA monitor, could I raise the framerate of it?

I'd love to overclock some of my components, but I got stock coolers, and one case fan, so I am kinda scared I will kill something if I overclock at all. I am definitely going to try it once I get an AIO liquid cpu cooler though.

Don't do drugs. Do hugs!

Try it, if it does not work, then try a lower framerate. Not sure how VGA behaves though, as analog really does not have a set data bandwidth. I have seen people OC CRT displays to framerates that even today's high end LCDs cannot do. There is a thread here showing how to do it.

My cpu is locked so there's that, but I did undervolt it, my gpu is overclocked as high as it will go ... on stock voltage, so not really any hotter (1-2°C) and memory is also at stock frequency, but a bit lower timings and lower voltage (rated at 1.65V but runs fine at 1.5V).

I overclocked everything as high as it could go without using exotic cooling.

I have an FX 4300 which is normally at 3800 Mhz, i OCed to 4.6 Ghz, which category to choose.... there should be a "mild overclock" option, since 4.6 sure isn't small but it isn't insane either....

I chose 'minor' with my 31% overclock, so you'd probaly be safe to do the same with your 21% overclock.

:D
