So many people had fps issue after that stupid revolver update. Here is the fix for this !

Hi! There was recently a big update for CSGO and ever since i have dropped in FPS.

Before the update i had an average fps of 300-350. After the update im at 200-275 and sometimes i drop below 200. I run EVERYTHING on low or disabled.

Tried verifying game cache, Reinstalling, Playing around with settings etc. I even tried 640x480 res but im still at about 250fps.

What could be causing this?

Do you have any clue how framerates work? The less delay between when the frame is drawn and the monitor refreshes, the better--especially when in a competitive game.

250fps is still incredibly fast.

Which is why you never see Professional players using V-sync in games.

When they get 300+ FPS they are quicker and more accurate.

When they get 60 SOLID. It's a major shit storm.

Did he say that? Did I say that? Where? Getting less performance before an update that should've had little to no impact on it is a problem, just like you'd be livid if NVIDIA or AMD nerfed your card. Getting less performance after a driver update is a problem, isn't it? Don't you want to get what you know you can?

See above.

It really doesn't matter. If it went under 30fps then I understand that it is a problem but your complaining it runs at 250fps?

Okay, so your average frame delay went down from 3.5 ms to about 5, which is still below the refresh rate of your average monitor and waaay below human reaction time.

disregard this statement if you have 240 Hz monitor or superhuman reflexes

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

To everyone saying 250fps is still playable, OFCOURSE it is. My problem is the fact that i dropped 100fps from an update that shouldn't have had any impact on the FPS. There is obviously a problem. I want to get the most out of the game possible.

the update probably reset the "fps_max" command so just set it to like 400 and it should work. i've noticed it seems to reset when the game is restarted its probably just a bug.
