I think that 144Hz 1080p is more than enough for 980Ti, I don't think you would suffer from tearing ..

Are you asking whether to get the 980ti or the monitor?

Depends on what your current rig is now. If you already have a 970 or something I would stick with getting the monitor. I would wait for a 980ti or even pascal

amazon = tax = yuck! Newegg is no tax and still free shipping. 

 

Just ordered my 3rd to complete my surround 144hz 3D set up :-D Used visa check out with the promo code to get 25 off, and managed to pick this up for 185 shipped, absolutely incredible deal considering back in september my wife bought my second one for me for 289 after tax "on sale" at best buy. 

 

And yes i run this monitor in dual screen with SLI 970 right now, and run black ops III across both monitors with split screen active so my brother-in-law and I can play multiplayer with each our own monitor. Strains the CPU at 4.8ghz with everything maxed, but turning things down I can get us both at 120fps on both screens. Awesome monitor, but needs to be calibrated for any real world use for video / graphics editing.
