SWBF Really That Bad?

Applesean

Just read this on gamespot.

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/they-wanted-to-pay-me-to-promote-piece-of-sht-star/1100-6432521/

I haven't got SWBF yet and with all the work I'm doing with my set up I won't be buying it for a while. I don't know the guy in the article but is the game really as bad as he makes out? or is he just a hardcore SW fan having a bitch fit about the game.

I think it was more the fact that they wanted him to promote their game more than anything.

was it a season pass or was it dlc? I don't know T_T

A season pass / DLC is the opposite of micro transactions, and every Dice game since BF3 has had that, and BF2 had 3/4 expansions packs

so its nothing nobody doesnt know, and is actually a good deal for anybody interested in the game IMO

battlefront is a good game, its lacking some content but there is lots to come

1 season pass, like all other games out there.

Also if you don't know it's best to not say a thing...

As for the game itself, it's alright. Best served with friends.

All I remember is Joe saying you had to pay 120$ to get the full game.

My friend was in the BETA and he said the game was meh or maybe even bad if you have played a bit of Battlefront 2. Way too much made for the casual player.

And it's EA man..

Same as BF4 etc, but you can that later on, or you can buy the DLC later

OR just play the base game, its only if you want the extra maps which have not been made yet

I had fun with it in the Beta. Great sound/graphics, blasters felt cool, I wouldn't personally buy it. Well, I was going to, but EA bent me over and didn't let me fucking buy the game...

The game is great when looking at the whole experience, sound, visuals, the setup, it's all great, but it lacks a lot of content, we've been there, said it, so no point in repeating.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

From a financial standpoint, the biggest mistake EA made was letting a massive amount of people try the beta. It's the same linear piece of shit with hardly any content.

Virtually nothing has changed.

As far as I can tell, it's not bad.  It's problem is that it's not a Battlefield game, and they can't make a context to put all of those GIF moments that happen in Battlefield into this game.  The only remotely interesting mode is Walker Assault, and even that is just a heavily modified version of Rush.

The one thing that I think made the two original Battlefront's better was the fact that they included two different timelines.  The prequel battles and the main series battles.  You could play as Droids, Gungans, Republican Clones, Ewoks, Tusken Raiders, etc, as well as the traditional Rebels and Stormtroopers.  Yeah sure the prequels are heresy, but the thing is that a lot more of the actual battles that went on in the Star Wars universe, actually happened in the prequels or in the now invalidated Expanded Universe...so...food for thought.

Except BF4 had a Campaign. It's opinion whether you liked the campaign or not, but the content was there nonetheless. And the lack of in-game voice chat on all platforms when its a multiplayer only game is a HUGE flaw.
