Ooh, haven't tried it, what's it smell like?

Oh god, I hate gels... I guess I gotta ask, what is it about gel deodorants people like?

it's cold.

You might as well make the deodarant yourself then lol

 

Might as well, but store bought deodorant doesn't have the salts in it, thus it really is only masking the smell (getting rid of the source but not stopping it), so it is fine. It just so happens that female deodorant is terrible...

Deodorant and antiperspirant are to me totally unnecessary. Deodorant... strikes me as fake. my first impression when I smell deodorant on someone is that they're pretending to have a characteristic that they don't. Kinda like makeup. Strikes me as pretense.

 

Antiperspirants... your body is designed to perspire, it's one of the great things about being human. It's your liquid cooling system doing its job. Sure, obviously you don't want to be gross having had it on full tilt all day, but that doesn't mean that you have to apply a substance to yourself to make you feel better/safer from judgement/whatever.

 

Just have a shower with normal soap and you'll be grand. No smell is better than any smell imao.

i honestly hate how male deodarant only masks the smell but it never stops me from sweating, even when it's also an antiperspirant.

Eather Dry Axe stuff, or some Dry Degree stuff. Mostly unscented or lightly scented. Do not care what brand, what ever is cheapest and does not smell like shit.

I actually perspire profusely and kind of need to wear it. I used to wear multiple shirts throughout the day to avoid ridiculous pit stains and odor...

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

hmmm... antiperspirants are basically clogging up the pores so that they don't release sweat. Trouble is... sweat is salt water. At some point, it's not gonna matter.

Oh? How common is that for you to find in the products? I always just thought they worked better most of the time by how little complaints I see.

... At the same time? I would think that would just make the problem worse. stuffing your pits in tons of shirts is like when you stick a laptop in its (foam-padded) bag without putting it to sleep. You find later that the fans have been running at 100% the whole time because it hasn't been told to stop running and has to keep cool.

I have problems with both excessive sweating and also becoming really smelly when I do. I now wear that Old Spice in OP and no longer have to do a shirt-swap at lunch.
