Get one from XFX,SeaSonic,Super Flower or EVGA's GS/G2/B2/PS/P2. Cooler Master's V/VSM series is pretty good too.

get a g2 or a p2 psu instead or any seasonic ones. that psu is shit

Or pretty much any other PSU on the market apart from a SuperNova NEX and the super cheap ones.

I would like to add that the CX is not shit. It has its place and makes sense in certain builds.

Most power supplies will not blow up because they have over voltage protection and over current protection. This means that if there is too much current, or the voltage has a spike to extremities, the power supply will shut itself off. The ones that do not, they end up sparking or catching fire, and damaging an entire system possibly.

The Corsair CX's main issue is its longevity. It uses capacitors from Samxon instead of Japan, and it is known to die quickly, under a year for many people. Voltage regulation and ripple could be a lot better too - two things strongly related to the health of your PC components. And lastly, 30C operating temperature is poor. This means that if the power supply goes over 30C, it won't be able to deliver its specified wattage on the power distribution chart. So expect lower capable wattages.

Biased as fuck

It has issues above 30c.

Most households are around 20-25c or warmer.

Turning it on is going to raise the temperature of it by at least 5-10c.

So unless it's always like 15c in your house, you're basically testing its limits.

I'm not the idiot who designed it so poorly.

30C doesn't mean anything about it breaking past 30C. It simply means that they do not guarantee it'll deliver its specified wattage past 30C. It does not necessarily mean the power supply is in danger of blowing up or dying. It is a property of semiconductors called derating. The hotter they get, the less electrical current they can flow.

Who has teached you that?

Turning the PSU on won't automatically add 5-10 °C to the ambient temperature.

The PSU will run at a temperature lower than 30°C and will only reach higher temps after a few hours of load. Because gaming rigs tend to be used for more than a few hours under full load the CX isn't recommended.

so is a EVGA SUPERNOVA 650 GS 650W 80 PLUS GOLD a good choice? Or is it a better choice the seasonic M12II-850 850W 80 PLUS BRONZE?

both good. m12ii 850 may be better because of wattage and therefore future upgrade to other components.

Well said. This is how I would describe CX PSU myself. It's unfortunate that some people don't know how to properly recommend PSU based on the user's needs.

Most people here don't know how to recommend anything properly.

Have you ever looked into the graphics card section?

The comments all look like they just were "copy-pasted", cause every single one just looks literally like "R9 380" or "R9 390".

It's terrible and those people don't even understand that they make a mistake. *smh*

(Sorry for the little rant)  -_-
