This whole "nickelback sucks" thing started by someone saying that they sucked and everyone else following.

 

They don't suck, they're lyrics aren't bad.

 

People just hate them, for literally no reason.

 

I like a few their songs.

Their music is okay.  There was one thing that bothered me regarding the songs frequently aired, they were mostly related to "anger/hate".  ...but I am guessing that is not true of most of their music... hopefully.

The singers voice annoys me. It's like he's suffocating or something. It causes me physical pain to hear it. Its like he has seafood allergies and just ate as much as possible at red lobsters. I want to clear my throat just listening to it. Ugh

 

Other than that they're okay I guess. Too close to country music for my tastes.

No those are actually 2 songs they released as completely independent, different songs that just happen to have the exact same music, note by note, and only slightly different vocal melody and timing.

 

There's been some bands accused before of doing the same thing over and over but it hasn't been, to my knowledge, this literal up until them. So lazy not only no one in the band but no studio personnel or producers bothered to say "You can't release the exact same song twice without owning up to it come on!"

lol, I did not know that.  I thought it was a link to "How You Remind Me".  I remember when that song broke, it was not bad.  I never took much interest in them though.
