This is super interesting, pretty wild that even though there is no microchannels or anything you still get great temps. Now the question is: could you do without microchannels at all?

That is why I am so happy when Jony Ive does apples videos, since he actually says Aluminium 

 

Technically Aluminum is a more history term, and was around before, but scientific standards say Aluminium is the correct way to say it, and is more in keeping with the other elements,

Haven't watched the video yet, but I've looked into having my own waterblock manufactured and the conclusion I've come to is that there's really very little to no improvement to be made over something like the EK Supremacy or the Heatkiller IV Pro with microchannels.  I sent off my Heatkiller IV Pro (currently just use a Supremacy non-Evo) to have the brass top remachined to allow for fully symmetric flow through around the die to in theory perform better (1 center inlet, 2 edge outlets).  Think that's pretty much the best you can do.

Workstation:  14700nonk || Asus Z790 ProArt Creator || MSI Gaming Trio 4090 Shunt || Crucial Pro Overclocking 32GB @ 5600 || Corsair AX1600i@240V || whole-house loop.

LANRig/GuestGamingBox: 9900nonK || Gigabyte Z390 Master || ASUS TUF 3090 650W shunt || Corsair SF600 || CPU+GPU watercooled 280 rad pull only || whole-house loop.
