An i5 should be fine. Like a 4670K, 6600K or 4460.

An i5 would be more than enough and is recommended anyway to game with, technically an i3 would suffice but I don't recommend getting an i3

Depends on what workload you Intend to do. But If youre reffering to games, a quad core i5 clocked at 3.0ghz should do nicely :)

depends on how cpu heavy your game of choice is.

 

generally something between an i5 4460 and an i5 6600k should do.

if your gaming only go with an i5. 6500 or 6600 would be sweet.

if your rendering, recording or doing heavy multitasking go with an i7 6700 maybe even k.

 

390 is better than 970 in every way except power efficienty
