Logitech LS21. They may not be much at all but I like the sound they produce. I've also messed with the EQ in Realtek Audio Manager so they sound even better than normal.

The bass is a bit lacking, due to the small(ish) subwoofer, but as long as you don't crank them too much the sound doesn't distort.

Have you considered trying one set of good speakers rather than 5 (6?) sets or rubbish speakers? (Oh the offense!)

I'm planning to buy some $2k studio monitors when I move

I just wanted to have cheap surround sound with lots of speakers that look awesome

and more than just 5.1

The sound quality is actually pretty good, the receiver I am using is a sony 5.1 which I bought new

sound quality depends more on the amp than the speakers, so its not bad, and definitely loud enough

It obviously doesn't have a flat EQ due to the mixing of different types of speakers with different ranges, but it gives the sound a warm "hall" style effect (but without the reverb)

less than $1k for everything

about 1500W

too loud, I always have it on like 5% xD

no, but I will be selling this stuff before I move out probably in the next year or two

you can find a lot of stuff like this on craigslist for really cheap

the receiver is the most expensive part, I bought that new 3 years ago

Every time I see this I want this.

My speakers all small in comparison.

I'll post a pic of my speakers soon. I have:

Onkyo tx-sr606

4 Polk r15 speakers

Not very good Polk psw108 sub

Then my new HH Scott c-10 speakers for music with 10" woofer and 3" tweeter

I have some Yamaha HS7 Studio Monitors as well as the Yamaha HS8S Subwoofer. For my headphones i have a pair of HD800's, HD600's, HD700's and HD8DJ's. Powering them is my Parasound Zdac which feeds into my Burson Audio Solist Headhphone amplifier. I also have a Debut Carbon Turntable to listen to LP's. Nothing too over the top. Here is the most recent picture of my setup, doesnt have everything, but for the most part thats what it looks like now.
