A 980? I somehow find it hard to believe since it took an EVGA Classified 980 @ 1520 core to match the bare Fury.

Proof is in the video. My friends 980ti boots up to 1400mhz with the hybrid cooler.

Like I said difference so small it comes down to preference with a slight edge to nvidia with the 980ti and titanX but only barely same thing with games that utilize the furyX better. For me I just hate their driver software thats why I would never buy one again.

I see your point :)

Want to know the thing that always gets me - I don't see the driver issues - makes me feel like an outcast - I've used the 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000 and now 7000 series - have yet to see a driver that I can point to and say "BAD!" - the only thing is the current one, 15.7 and 15.7.1 don't like Flash in Firefox - but I don't like that either

I had driver issues with both of the company's. Both royally fucked with a pc build of mine. I like geforce experience specifically because unlike when I had a AMD's 3rd party RaptR software geforce actually could update my drivers, without me having to manually delete them and go online to AMD's website for drivers. Yeah Im that lazy.

About that - I've been meaning to post about it - my friend's 280X can update itself via Raptr just fine but it won't recognize my card - both Asus DC2 ._.

EDIT you can also overlapt drivers for AMD btw :P

I had a 770 for a time and didnt delete the drivers. Geforce deleted the old ones and loaded the new ones with one click. Must have just been my bad experience with RaptR but I didnt like it at all. As for overlapping drivers. Meh never needed that feature. I had a R9 295X2 The drivers would download but not install ever and with nvidia idk if it was them or not, but after installing the latest drivers my pc wouldnt boot to OS on my x99 rig. Both have had shitty outcomes with nvidia worse causing me to return my whole build to amazon. :/ If it was their fault or not who knows. Anyway yeah my second pc with nvidia gpu same driver no issues so Im fairly certian it wasnt the gpu or drivers. Never had luck with x99 at all either way.

I'd imagine it's a thing where it's more random than people care to admit - I still don't get why Nvidia's drivers never get critized though - especially after Kepler nerf >.>

End of the day they both are pretty shitty companies I just prefer one piece of shit more then the other. Dont support something just to bail it out. Support what you like either company is not your financial burden.

Yep - I buy what's better for me - like I've said - when I bought my card the closest was the 960 and it cost about 70$ more - not worth my money at that point - I could get a 270X for the price of a 750 Ti both at 150$ here - how about no?

Oh yeah the nerf was bad but to be honest after patches came out my titan black sc no gets 60 fps 2k with mixed high ultra settings. Might not have been 100% nvidias fault as even my titan X got a huge boost after patches. Is it fixed? I see people still say they never got their performance back in Witcher 3 (talkin 780 Tis losing 15 fps and not gaining it back at all)

I'm so torn on what my next gpu will be.

I've had these cards

ATI {like} 2800 {or something in 2004-5}

AMD HD 6950 - Wasn't a bad card at all. Fine piece for it's day.

2 R7 260x's and I pretty much hate them.

I want my next card to be something super high end. I'm torn between a 970 - 980 - or a Something like a 290 / 390 / Fury X because I love CCC so much and I know how to use the settings / software ; And I've used these AMD cards for so long I'm used to the heat and the noise. I'm used to having to manually monitor temps and fan speeds on the desktop and I'm alright by that.

I get the feeling though it's like going from AMD CPU's to Intel CPU's. The quality is so much "better" and the stability is so much "better" that it just makes you feel good to buy Intel / Nvidea.

I donno who to support.

On one side you are kinda afraid of AMD going under and no longer having support {yes I realize that's a bit dramatic}

Or face the basically monopoly company and get probably less than I'm paying for.

So...yeah. :)

Thanks!

All I know before the patch two titan blacks struggled to get 50fps and now Im using one from the same rig and playing in 2k 60fps . So yeah its fixed my titanX went from 30-40fps after patches my friends 980ti hybrid got 60 to 70 fps at 4k with random dips into the high 40's but very rarely.

Vid I showed earlier the 980 hybrid was keeping up with the FuryX so not quiet outclassed by the Fury. Dont know how the other editions of the 980 compare though. I usually stick with evga anyway. Ah very good. I didnt like the whine my r9 made from the pump but im sensitive to high pitched sounds.

Tek Syndicate used day 1 Fury drivers (worse than now) and with a Classified 980 @1517 core and 2GHz memory matched a Fury - thermals were better for the Fury tho

Lol kinda depends on if my case can hold it, looks super huge :)

Exactly what I'm torn between! That's actually not a bad idea.

It's a top-end Sapphire card :)

Saphire makes some sweet cards thats for sure. Also yeah you should try the other side at least once before becoming a supporter of one side. Thats what I did. Only youll have the option to return it if it wasnt for you. Unlike me I ordered from newegg :(.

Tek Syndicate used day 1 Fury drivers (worse than now) and with a Classified 980 @1517 core and 2GHz memory matched a Fury - thermals were better for the Fury tho

Pretty sure the hybrid boosts a lot better then the classified might be the reason why. Id believe it. Most things on water boost ridiculously high. Also my vid wasnt from teksyndicate, I dont think.
