i want to feel the sound, what do.

mookie1590

right now i have this logitec 5.1 75 watt. system. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16836121057

my questions are this. i want a system that lets me feel the sound, explosions rippling through my body. i want a good bass that rocks my bed. i do game in my bed just because my room isn't big enough for a desk and bed. i have a bed with a desk pulled next to it where my station is. on the other side of my desk is a piece of osb board where i do my micro soldering and electrical engineering work. so im forced to game in bed. but i want a system that rumbles, a nice base that can shake the room when an explosion goes off. i also have heard of these things that really arnt speakers but let you feel the sound. hopefully someone can tell me what that is. i want something i can also stick under my mattress that will shake it. i don't want crazy expensive like $500, but if i need to save more to get a better system then give me your recommendations. i don't do audio, i don't know good brands or bad. i don't know about all the secret devices i can pair with it. so im here to learn. my sound card does support 7.1. if i gave you $500-1000 what would you buy? i do want better than this piss-ant system i do have now.

thanks

Buy speakers that are as tall as you and a few of them at that (place them at each corner of your room), and by then you will definitely feel the sound

I have the Z313's from Logitech and in BF4 when an explosion goes of I feel it. They're 35$ speakers. Gotta love em.

I would take 2.1 over any surround system any day of the week.

Or two big floor standing speakers with an amp.

YAAAAA BOI!!!

That was obnoxius, but seriously, I can't find anyone else who has these speakers. They are a good buy.

They are!! :o Alot of people told me they ain't but I think for what they are and the price and if you want 5.1 Surround sound there's nothing better to get. Also the bass kicks my neighbours out of their bed every other day :P

You don't need speakers "as big as you" - get a subwoofer with at least a 12" driver from a reputable brand which can properly reproduce the low frequency (40Hz and lower) sounds which you cannot hear, instead you feel it.

OR, get some buttkickers and install them to the base of your seating arrangement - creativity would be required with cable management.

Glad I could help you. Read up on how they work, they need amplification but I do not know if an ordinary stereo amplifier is all they require to operate correctly.

If you gave me $1,000 for something that shakes the walls... I would ask for another $100 and buy this: http://www.powersoundaudio.com/products/v1500 It's powered, so all you need to do is split the subwoofer signal and run a line to this power house.

Your world will never be the same again.

Yep. It has incredible output for its size. Weighs nearly 100 pounds. It's a force to be reckon with. But yes, Power Sound Audio products can be quite pricey. Just like all other high quality audio components.
