I think that The Last Guardian should be a PSVR game.

PSVR being Playstation VR.

 

I mean think about it. They announced this game almost 10 years ago, and when the brought it to E3 this year, it looked the exact same.

 

I think that there were more changes under the hood than we can begin to suspect. This game as the perfect feel for awe inspiring VR moments. First of all, what I assume is the guardian (the bird/dog) is huge compared to the player character. Imagine having to physically look up to see his face peering down at you. The sense of scale would be immense. 

Second, the areas in the game seem to have lots of long drops. Imagine the peril of looking down into the abyss in VR. It would create a sense of danger absent from traditional games with traditional platforming segments. 

Thirdly, the projection recently showed at TGS, where you can interact with the guardian really helps you understand the scale of the world. I hope that this was an allusion to the game being in VR. 

The areas appear to be large and visually interesting and I would love to explore them in VR! Imagine riding on the guardian's back! Being able to see every feather flow in the wind and looking down to see the world blur beneath you! 

 

I hope they really surprise us with this one and it's a launch title for PSVR.

 

What do you think? Would this be stupid for VR? Were you looking forward to playing it without VR? Did you ever even consider this game to be VR?
