Windows 8 better than 7 in terms of Gaming?

LDG

A lot of forums tells windows 8 is better in playing games. If true what are those things that makes this OS better?

Because i'm goin to consider buying a copy of it on my future build.

Any gamers out there using win8?

Personally I've found if it runs in Windows 7 it runs as well if not better in Windows 8.

It has more optimizations that allows for better gaming performance. IIRC it also has some changes that benefit 8xxx FX series.

I'm making that as broad as possible.

It runs a tiny bit better, but there are many issues where games won't run. Doesn't exactly improve your experience, but if you like the UI and style, it also won't hinder you (except for the games that won't run)

depends, if you have a dual core, no not really, win8 is lighter I guess but its more optomized for multi core systems like 4,6 and 8.  assuming you can get older games (even newer) to run on win8 it might be a better choice if you dont mind the annoying microsoft touch stuff, or spending time fixing it.  It really doesn't make that much of a difference for most people.
