I would like to try out windows ME or 3.1 or 95 but i dont want to/ dont know how to pay for them. Where can i get a free ISO image.

You'll be lucky to get 3.1 running on a VM. You're looking for Floppy Disk Images, and you usually have to install DOS first, though you can get "prebuilt" virtual images. Can be tricky if you grew up with modern operating systems.

ME is much easier.

I got dos 7 and win 3.1 running just fine on vm, even got win 98se to run, but I could not get windows me to run with out crashing all the time.
