Since when is that called a balisong and not a butterfly knife?

they're the same thing. I like the name balisong better. sounds more cool  hey I got a butterfly knife, Hey I got a balisong

I guess so.... Maybe you can scare away someone trying to hurt you don't think it would be that effective in combat lol.

lol. IT does some small puncuture damage but other than that. I don't see anyone using the karambit other than for tricks or just like on a plaq or something. (or csgo fanatics)
