Any way to reinstall your OS but keep system files?

Windows2000

Title says it all.

I might need to do a reinstall since some of the Windows features seem to be broken?

Also, if I don't have my key handy; the only way I can reinstall is by calling the activation center right?

Windows reset? Just search for it in Windows search, it should come up  as Reset this PC.

What do you mean by "system files"?

There are some command prompt lines that might help you

Try, in an elevated command prompt

SFC /SCANNOW

Yeah, you can just reset it, it won't delete any files (personal, eg. games, documents)
