How to get review samples of tech products

PhantomWizzrobe

Hello!

I am a starting tech YouTuber. All the tech YouTubers I watch (like Linus) get "review samples" of products from the company. Does anybody know how this works? I would really appreciate it if anybody knows how this works and could explain it to me. Thank you so much!

Alot of motivation will get you review samples of products. Without having anything showing that you have the motivation and knowledge behind stuff your gonna have a hard time.

You request or get sent/offered a review sample. Though being a small channel I wouldn't expect companies to send anything out.

Don't go to the big companies right away. Go for the smaller ones ( smaller as in the lesser known ones like PNY or Patriot ) and ask. Sometimes they let you keep them some you gotta send back. Just be friendly about it to. Say you wanna review something, give them an address, explain to them your channel and the hopes you've got for,it ect ect.

I suggest reviewing something you recently bought like a pc part, a chair, something and do a few reviews on things like 2-3 to show the company you are serious. Whether it's a current part in your PC or a part you wanna put in it. Or anything

Still, even by going to small companies like this you need at least 1000 subs which aren't easy. :P

All of you guys are saying that I need to build up a following. Does anybody have any idea on a way to even slightly boost this? Or does it just come with time and hard work?

Google  search or.. facebook... linkedin  etc etc etc

Share you stuff as much as you can, sometimes companies will contact you

to start with, do reviews of stuff you already own, stuff you can buy - show the quality they can expect, and your knowledge etc, and you need to grow an audience

Don't go to the big companies right away

Not always, I have 47 subs and have reviews a product from MSI, and potentially they are sending me something else to review

Depends if you can make a video they want to see

Either you ask for it from the company (very unlikely they will even respond) or the company contacts you (will only happen when you got a big channel).

Since you said you're new to this don't expect them to send you anything valuable, but you got nothing to lose from asking.

It's probably best to review things you already got so that you can build an audience and reputation before asking for things though.

Not all companies are the same. Some will do it just to help get you going ect ect. BeQuiet!, XFX, NZXT, and EVGA ( wouldn't consider these "small" except maybe XFX ) are very nice companies who help a lot,of people out. Yeah don't expect every company to send you like a 390x but say NZXT could send you a Source 210 Elite for example. Some stuff.

Yeah if he reviews a product or two he currently has, maybe it's his phone, a part in his computer or a recent charger. Do 2-3 Videos like this and show the companies you're serious.

start small

maybe ask powercolor/ pny/ patriot to review a 950 or an r7 370, something low end

build up a good reputation with companies by returning if they ask for it.

go for bigger Companies such as asrock and asus

keep building respect, fanbase, and CREDIBILITY

Wow. Very nice. Well, the only problem with my video is the video quality (using an iPad Mini 2), otherwise,it's good enough IMO.

Well, PNY, Palit and Gainward don't have products that they could send me (I doubt they'll send me a 950).

Plus, many companies have only support emails. Palit has support email and inquires email, which one should I contact?

You need more content and the fan base.

So that COmpanies can see you and they may even contact you for sending their products to you!
