I like cold, rainy, dark days and sad music. I also like thunder storms and stuff like that. But not the feeling of sadness just the things that would make others sad, make me happy. Anyone else experience this?

Yeah, about this 100%.

Just finished Burn Notice for the 5th time last night, I am starting over now. The ending makes me sad every time.

Have you seen the ending to Fringe? Makes me straight up cry like a baby, every time. Seen it six times now.

Not sure how they packed so much freaking emotion into the last season of that show.

Ending of Fringe was a rough one. A suitable end though. As for the rain, if it means no glare on my screen, I'm a happy chappy ;) Only today I was at the city library and was standing on the viewing balcony with it tipping it down. It was great...though I think other people questioned my sanity.

Cold, rainy, and dark days are intriguing, different, a change from the usual procedure. I can stare outside the window at the rain for ten minutes before feeling like I should be doing my homework.

Sad music can be hauntingly beautiful (Schindler's List, anyone?).

Usually the only people who don't appreciate these things are either 1. in a bad mood, or 2. emotionally shallow. Not morally shallow, but emotionally.

Being sad is a waste of time. All it does is hold you back.

What's the sun?

Apparently it's something in the sky. Whenever I look for it though, all I see is the moon ;)

Sadness and general moodiness is something that we should explore more.

The problem with sadness is that it isn't a very constructive feeling, so we should explore it at an emotional distance. That is what experiencing thing like rain and thunder does to us.

We experience things normally related to sadness, yet we don't fell sad ourself.

And some people find rain and thunder to be cozy (or ´hyggelig´ as the Danes say). If you are inside it can give you a sense of safeness, seeing how you are sheltered from the raging elements outside.

Depressive song can have the same effect on us

Nova doctrina terribilis sit perdere
