Audio-Technica ATH-M50X vs Audio-Technica ATH-M70X?

Can anyone tell me the differences and why there is like a $200 price point difference and weather or not the M70X is worth getting or not.

Some YouTube video links would also be nice.

saw a review which said it was not worth it.. and many people still say m50x is not worth it and m50 is the same.. and people say the same about m50 vs m40x..

YouTube? Ugh.

 

The M70x is crafted from more metal parts. Other than that it really has no strengths over the M50x. The narrow headband even looks like a step backwards to me.

Ok I have to go against the idea of the M40X and the M50X being the same.Defiantly not.The M40X has a more neutral sounding base.The M50X is brighter.

A lot of people most probably wont notice it but for some reason I do.I mainly listen to Electronic and the higher pitch is better for it.For classical the M40X are most certainly better but you can get my using the M50X.The treble is also more live sounding on the M50X.

 

But hey those are just my ears.

Minor FR differences, hardly worth the price premium. EQ exists for a reason.

That's just what I'm hearing, I don't believe that about m40x and m50 and 50x too, but that's what I heard..

But I like HD 600 coz' they more expensive and sound better

The problem with HD 600 is that they make you wanna throw up.Like puke when you look at it.It's nasty

People don't tend to hear the difference since they don't use anything higher end.

 

I use both HD 600 and M50X.So I can tell the difference between the M40X and M50X.But that's because i'm a sorta Audiophile.Not everyone can afford the AMP and DACS and all the stuff.

 

Not to mention I tested the M40X and M50X on a $250 AMP/DAC Setup

An EQ is an equalizer, for adjusting frequency response with software or hardware. The M40x has a removable cable. A $250 source has nothing to do with hearing small FR differences.

And m50x are not much different than m40x.

EQ can make them similar.

You can like what you like, the product is still a bad value and should not be recommended nearly as often as it is.

I don't know what EQ stands for but I figured it would be equalizer sine spawth said it can make the M40X and M50X sound the same
