How can I change max temperature on my graphics card?

Simple question , my kernel mode driver stops working when It hits max temperature ... that is around 51-62 degrees Celsius... how do I change it  (was going to change to 85º Celsius ) (GTX 970 G1 Gaming)

Thanks!

Best idea would be to find a custom bios for your card and that should (depending on the bios settings) allow your card to hit the higher temps without crashing.

Though on a side point, I doubt that the max temp with the 970 is 50-60 degrees. There might be something wrong with your card or your driver.

Its really weird since I change graphics card twice....

The only theoretical way of changing temps is to overclock or downclock a GPU, but if it happened twice, then it can be a few things, one I want to say is the problem is driver update, or like stated before set the fan to full speed so it keeps it cool always.

I have the fans at 94% and when I play CS Go my game easily reaches maximum temperature (51ºCelsius)

51c is low.. not high.

I doubt any gpu company would have such a low cutoff profile.

there's something else at work here.

download msi afterburner. there's a temperature cut off adjuster under the power %.

is the card overclocked? if so that's why it's not stable.

your gpu should be in the 60s+ when gaming.

my water cooled evga hybrid gets to about 59c and that's with water!!

dude 51c is nothing on a 970, Nvidia has them rated up to 98c and most people will OC them and they run around 80 which is fine.

I have had a 980ti up over 90c and it ran no worries and of course plenty of reference 290/290x's that ran to 95c without screwing up.

This sounds like a bad card or a software issue but by design the card can go way way higher than 50-60c, i promise you that!
