What's crawling in my bed?!

First off, I know this is a tech forum, but I don't really want to post on Yahoo Answers or anything, that place doesn't even get serious replies.

 

A couple days ago I noticed what looked like bug bites on my legs, and only on my legs. They didn't itch much but progressively (probably subconsciously) got itchier throughout the day. I thought nothing of it, maybe it was a allergic reaction since I was walking through a lot of tall grass the day before on my ranch. The next night, I woke up at around 4AM because of some unbearable itchiness. I got frustrated and when I went to look at what was itching, which I partially thought were those bug bites, I noticed new ones, very fresh. There was a welt similar to a mosquito bite and a red center just like a mosquito bite. I freaked out so I threw all of my sheets and pillows and everything in the washer, and dried them for like 4 cycles to make sure the heat killed anything that was in there. I checked my bed, which is one from Ikea, but I couldn't find any bugs, not even any traces. I unzipped the covers and looked at the foam inside; nothing. I checked the floorboards, carpet under my bed, my bed frame; nothing. I then vacuumed my bed and the floor under my bed, and slept on the couch with a different blanket last night. I'm really worried that if I sleep in my actaul bed tonight the same will occur, and trust me this itchiness is awful.

 

Just a side note: The bites look like they could be bed bugs, there are several on my legs and a lot of them are in groups. They also look like they could be flea bites or even mosquito bites. I'm not really sure what to do as I've never had this problem before. I keep my room really clean and the food that I bring sometimes doesn't even attract these kinds of bugs. I haven't found any ants or anything either. These bites only go up to my waist and then just stop. Nothing else, only tons of bites (now) on my legs.

 

Any help is appreciated, and does anyone know an old trick to stop the itchiness? I keep itching them and I know I'm not supposed to. Thanks, sorry if this grosses you out a little.

There's nothing I can do besides collect samples when I can't find any? I asked my dad about it but he seemed to think it was funny.

Not that many bites, I would say there are about 20 on each leg, in what look like groups. I asked my parents but they don't think it's a big deal.

Have you had someone check your had hair and have you checked your.. Private area hair already?

(And I would recommend cortison as well. Or go to a pharmacist and see what they recommend)

Maybe acne? Ik its weird to say that since theyre on your legs but Ive gotten some bad pimples in really weird spots at times :/

You can try sleeping somewhere else and seeing what happens to your legs over the night or just look around your room at a time when you would go to bed and see if anything appears (bugs, etc, whatever this is that happens to be causing the problem)

But ice on it until you can feal the spot anymore when touching it. It at least keeps it down for a while but be careful not to scratch that part of your leg accidentally on something or it while come back with a ROAR.

I would post a picture of the bites but I'm not sure how people would handle them. They're similar but not red around it. some are also a little torn up from me scratching them so much.

Bed bugs. Lift the mattress and prepare for horror. You can just put diesel or kerosene on the feet of the bed posts and they should go away

Maybe acne? Ik its weird to say that since theyre on your legs but Ive gotten some bad pimples in really weird spots at times :/

It's not acne. I have some acne on my face but they don't form welts that itch like a mad man.

Bed bugs. Lift the mattress and prepare for horror. You can just put diesel or kerosene on the feet of the bed posts and they should go away

I would post a picture of the bites but I'm not sure how people would handle them. They're similar but not red around it. some are also a little torn up from me scratching them so much.

 

Well i know nothing about bed bugs, never had them and never seen them, but i'm tempted to say this sounds like something is definitely biting you... Just a matter of what. Did you say you slept on the floor couch and didn't get any?

I would post a picture of the bites but I'm not sure how people would handle them. They're similar but not red around it. some are also a little torn up from me scratching them so much.

Well i know nothing about bed bugs, never had them and never seen them, but i'm tempted to say this sounds like something is definitely biting you... Just a matter of what. Did you say you slept on the floor and didn't get any?

No I slept in my bed and something is definitely biting me. I washed all of my blankets, sheets, etc. and vacuumed the general vicinity. I slept on the couch in the other room last night and I don't think I have any new bites.
