For me i went into the xbox app and disable gamebar.exe I dont trust it, sorry Microsoft.

What was your first order of business?

Having win10 kill itself and need to reinstall windows and all of my crap.  :)

Install Drivers then spend an hour figuring out my Quick Sync was making a fake monitor set as default.

Just remember: Random people on the internet ALWAYS know more than professionals, when someone's lying, AND can predict the future.

I changed the Hideous mix and match theme from windows 8.1 to the default windows 10 theme and then edited the colours of the windows

Oh wow. no drivers maybe? windows uninstalled my usb drivers so I had to go to safe mode and get them in.

Continued playing counter strike, then I tried to play hardline (I was bored) and it has no Audio....

Also guys how do you get all that shit off in the start menu, all them recently used and also the apps at the side.

Updated AMD and AOC's drivers they still dont work so im having level 3 tech support call me tomorrow and hopefully they will fix it.

right click on the apps and click "unpin from start"

Honestly, I still have the Technical Preview. I just let it sit. I'm so lazy to update the OS, but anyway its enjoyable. Snapping is my most favorite feature about it.

For first time builders, please use PCPartPicker, Logical Increments.

Trying to get all my cosmetics back to where they were on 7. And then trying to disable cortana internet searching.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

First thing I did was use it. I played Rocket League. Then I fresh installed windows 10. I have it working so nice now. Love my PC with Windows 10.

You can always right click and unpin anything . Here is what I actually suggest you do. Pin things as tiles to the start menu. Tiles do not have to be the apps from the windows store. I do suggest pinning the weather app and maybe a couple others. You can pin almost anything though. Pin control panel, Computer Management, Command Prompt(CMD), any folder to the start menu as a tile. Anything you use often just pin it.

No, but you can download one such as classic shell or Start10. What I would suggest is doing what I told arronleeds to do which is to pin what ever you want to the start menu as a tile. You want a quick button to control panel? Well, just pin control panel as a tile. Pin almost anything like an app, setting(yes individual settings), CMD, any folder. It's very useful.

This is why you need an OS only drive. That wway you lose nothing if windows needs to be re installed. Trust me, i learned my lesson over the years.

i have 6 drives lmao , 4 are ssds for various operating systems , the others are hdds that hold my games and what not :P
