Things I *Personally* want to see in Windows 10

Since Windows 10 is coming this Wednesday, I figured I would put a small list of wants I would like for the upcoming OS.

 

1. NATIVE XBOX 360/ONE CONTROLLER SUPPORT - This is almost assured seeing as how Microsoft wants to make their new OS all inclusive in working together with different versions (I.E - PC, Phone, Xbox One, etc.)

 

2. BETTER RESOLUTION SCALING - Pretty self explanatory but I am sure everyone wants this. Basically scaling UI and Text to match resolution which is a huge problem in Windows 7, (I don't know about windows 8 or 8.1 seeing as how I only have laptops running the 2 and can't confirm if they scale properly, so feel free to correct me on this.)

 

3. ​BETTER OVERALL SYSTEM USAGE/ LOWER RAM IMPACT - In short, lower footprint of use.

 

Anything anyone would like to add feel free, this is just personal wants.

Windows aero I miss it :(

 

EDIT: controller support on windows is great for the most part, it's just the vibration triggers on the xb1 controller that don't wok. (I've only used windows 8 for gaming so I dont know what it's like on w7).

Just controller support, not only XBOX 360/ONE, but also PS3 and PS4 support.

I have SCP Server tool so I can use my PS4 controller on pc (with Windows 8.1) with no issues.

Main gaming pc: Lian-Li Lancool II Mesh Performance - Ryzen 5 5600X - MSI GTX1080Ti Armor - AMD Wraith Spire RGB - ASUS TUF Gaming B550 Plus - Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 2x8GB 3200MHz - 500GB M.2 (and a few other drives)

I don't understand why aero is gone, it looked so good! And most pc's were happy with it.

It was also a dream for custom themes, they could do so many nice things with it :)

 

I hope there will be a lot of custom themes for W10 :( I like a personalized desktop.

probably because if you tried to use software that didnt like it it would make it flip its shit *cough MS FSX*

I never had issues with it tbh... Only the warning message during some games of aero being too slow or whatever was annoying.

I have an old rig for old games :D So no need for that, probably the reason why i haven't got issues with it.

2 hdd's with W98 and XP, runs like a dream.
