I've given up on my Mobo and CPU. What should I upgrade to that's roughly $200ish?

If you've seen me in one of my previous CPU upgrade posts I'll explain that I've given up on my F2A55-M LK. I want to get a new CPU with a new Mobo that's in the $200ish and down range. I want to play games like CS:GO, LoL, Payday 2, and Killing Floor 2. Also, I'd rather have a good CPU, so if I upgrade to like a GTX 750 it won't bottleneck it. Thanks.

Why are you so "done" with your current system?  Is it strictly performance based?

4460+h81/h97 should be in 200$ range. slightly over, defintely worth it.

I'm using the MSI 970 Gaming Mobo, and the AMD FX6300 CPU (6 core 3.5-4.1ghz)... both very budget orientated, would deffo be under $200. you could even go one step higher and get the FX8350.

That motherboard can support a A10-6800k.  Which is a good, if not great, CPU.

 

You can probably find that (somewhere) for no more than $100.  And then adding a dedicated GPU to that will allow you to really stretch its legs.  Alternatively, you'll see such a huge benefit from the GPU (going from the A4 to the A10) that you might not need a dedicated GPU (you'd be looking at a 200% increase at least).  If that is the case, adding some high end RAM (for the other $100 of your budget) will really let it fill it out.

Oh lol I'm dumb. I just heard about Skylake from some guy above. The only reason I wouldn't want it is because I can't use the integrated graphics. I think I'll use the leftover money for a better PSU because my PSU is 350 watts while my GTX 650 uses 400 watts and the A10-6800K would use about 150 watts.

Athlon X4 860K and a FM2+ motherboard maybe? (or you can get  a Athlon X4 760K for your current motherboard...)

Upgrading to FX8 from FX6 isn't wise and for gaming i3 better than any AMD CPU.

EDIT: don't forget that FX8 needs a good MB with 8+2 phase VRM's to work flawlessly.

According to your sig, the cpu you have is a dual core. For gaming, best to go with a quad. So keep your motherboard and grab a better cpu. Then the rest of your $200 can go towards a better psu and gpu.
