Oh one major thing that I had or doctors did not f****** mention to me at all and it was somewhat obvious was the environment around you/myself. For example, there had just been so many times where my life just got so busy by the time I got home all I needed and wanted to do was just sleep, forgetting so about the things around me like my bed sheets, hell even the air, it's not just your face it's the things you touch/I touched - it's kind of like thinking outside the box slightly, keeping these clean though will definitely help as I saw changes doing so after the cleansing fairly quick

I have been changing the sheets regularly, it's just bad timing for me as well as the position it chooses on my face to grow on.

its caused by bacteria on your face.

wash it more often at least 2 times a day and refrain from touching it at all. change your pillow cover often heck if its been a few years change the pillow itself.

on weekends or when I knew I had a few days before having to show my face in front of girls I was into I would warm up my pores with steam or a hot towel wash my face and with the soft open hot pores I would apply some hydrogen peroxide to trouble spots to kill the bacteria inside the pores. this will cause your skin to be red the next day so only when you know you can get away with it.

I tried lots of stuff while I was a teenager. The stuff I got from the doctor always dried my skin out really badly, so I couldn't frequently use it.

I still follow this method to prevent the odd spot outbreak I still get (21 now). Before I go to bed at night I put sudocrem on my face where spots are (or where I get outbreaks) and sleep with it on. In the morning when I shower I wash my face with a face scrub, then when I get out the shower I use a moisturiser with silver in it. The face wash will dry my skin out too much without the moisturiser, and the silver in that is good for you.

It's been the most effective skin treatment I've ever tried, and trust me, I tried all the creams, steaming, masks, pore-strips etc.

I'm using a face scrubbing wash right now, turns out I have a another nasty spot growing on my chin, I try my best not to touch my face, it's annoying when either hair is in the way or it's itchy.

When on break, go outside and get sunlight.

Also what I did, I wash my face 2 times a day with water a clean towel.

Also no touchie the acne spots.

But in the end when you growed up you should be fine.

Its puberty so yea....

Some acne-skins react different ti scrubbing, moasting, drying, I did all of that too...but no effect only gotten worse.

Just keep your face clean and age a bit more

  • 2 weeks later...

/thread update;

It's like I'm going through puberty again, my face has been relatively clean for the last 8 'months, but suddenly now my skin is flaring up, with spots growing literally in multiple numbers like on my forehead.

I will tell you what works for me.

I never touch my face apart from when I'm cleaning it with body soap in the shower. If I have a spot that has become white, I press gently around the outside, without using my nails, to empty out the pore; pushing with nails damages the surrounding skin and makes the area look more red. I use an exfoliating gel with salicylic acid from Paula's Choice; it empties the pores of the skin from the oil that causes the spots. I put it on my face once a week after a shower. It dries quickly, you don't need to rinse it off and you can use it every day. http://www.paulaschoice.co.uk/exfoliating-2-beta-hydroxy-acid-gel.html

I too have acne but mostly on my back. Face got it too but it has gone down quite a bit, just have some scars left over. Adds character though :P.

Minocyclene. that's all.

Doesn't work for everyone. I've tried it back when I was 16. did jack to nothing. Seen a dermatologist and got proscribed with some cream stuff I can't remember but it was very rough yet worked. Leaves my face incredibly dry though, hard to smile or laugh for awhile.

I am not sure if this is available in your country, but for me it was Clincitop gel which worked.

Apply it daily before sleeping and make sure not to touch the face

"It's likely I'm going through puberty again" lol

Greasy skin causes acne buildup. Simple. I have acne still sometimes and I'm 21. Acne doesn't ever fully go away so you need to minimise its impact. You do this by doing the following things:

-Using a face cloth and soap every day in the morning and evening

-Don't lean your head on your hands and don't touch your face if you can avoid it

-Use w/w gel 10% on the areas affected

-Scrub with liquid clearasil every day

-go outside and take vitamin d pills or drink sunny d

After that, there is no way on earth that you will keep getting acne

Just be glad you aren't suffering from Tinea Versicolor

I'm having to use a selenium sulfide body wash daily, thankfully it's working and this crap is almost gone. (fyi, that picture isn't my skin. Mine isn't nearly that bad)

K I know this is a bit old but I have a legit solution now. It's weird but it was suggested by @'s mom and it works pretty well actually.

First, wash your face with slightly colder than hot water and hand soap

Take a tomato and cut a slice from it.

Rub the tomato on your face. Seeds can be annoying but I just take them off.

Do this a couple of times a day and before going to bed.

Helps get rid of some stuff. My chin is better than it was before though my skin is so tolerant to every single thing you might try to get rid of acne it's a bit absurd. I'm still trying to get acne off my forehead and neck. Maybe I'll delve into getting it off my back/shoulders/chest soon.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Look at your condition as a gift. Bring a rag wherever you go and outlive all your peers. If you were stranded in the frozen wilderness, use the rag to wipe down that grease laced forehead and use it as fuel for a fire. Use it to oil your popcorn. If you must exist with a face that is a living canola oil dispenser, then use that super power. If you are being bullied, aim a zit at the attacker and spray him.

I am impelled not to squeak like a grateful and frightened mouse, but to roar...
