Why Not To Make Fun of Jurassic Year Old PC? :(

First of all I love LinusTechTips. I don't hate them. I'm not bashing them. Always love them and always will.   
Second I'm not asking for money at all. Just for understanding and your short span of attention and understanding
Third I hope the LMG Group won't block me on this forum.
Cause I still want to be part of this team and I will do all my part to contribute in helping people on this forum.
Fourth please excuse me for all the grammatical errors that you're about to see on this article as I'm not a fluent English writer nor speaker. 
Lastly for the format of the article and if you're thinking I'm just doing this for profit, gain or anything like that. You're wrong.   
 
 
Hi Guys!
First of all I'm just an average PC user. I game a lot. I play a lot. But not on our computer as you can see on this screenshots that I will be posting here:
 



 
As you can see on the screenshots our PC at home is not optimized for gaming. And we really don't have a lot of money at all. Our computer at home is only optimized for browsing and using the internet and for doing research and school works. And all of that good stuff.The reason why I'm sharing all of this is because I got sad about what I've seen on the July 3rd 2015 version of the WAN Show. I really look up to LinusTechTips and which most of the time I dream about having those fancy and spanky new GPU's CPU's MoBo's and all of that techno good stuff. And as you can see our computer is very outdated and as people here in our country call it " Jurassic ". 
 
The reason why I can play some of the famous AAA games that you see on the internet is because I'm one of those people who is willing to pay atleast $1 to $2 just to be able to share about being able to play it. And that amount of money lets you play for about 30 mins. to an hour or so. As you can also see on the screenshot the name of the domain of our computer is PLSREPLACEME this was done by one of the technicians who fix it because he was making fun of how old the computer and all the components that are inside it. I did take it as a joke but deep inside I got offended who wouldn't that's why when I heard Linus making a remark about those people who still use 10 year old PC's I got sad because I always look up to him and I don't want him be an absolute butthead just because they're able to review every new tech. I always think that he'll defend those people who like me doesn't have the capabilities to have awesome PC's. For me personally I can just dream about it and by the end of the day be satisfied with the videos, numbers, graphs that they're showing on how this new technology is the fastest and by far the most awesome tech.
 
If you'll ask me why not save those moneys that you're spending and just by a new rig. Just to inform you I only play a computer once a month and that is my saving. I don't have lots of money like you do and I'm not being a baby about it. I just want us to be on the same flag carrying the same banner no matter what our PC  or what tech we're using. I hope the admins will be able to read this and this would help improve the show even further. For viewers like you and me and future PC enthusiasts. If you're willing to help. Thanks a lot in advance. Thank you for reading!!

Hey man I feel you. If you can't justify upgrading your PC then don't do it, easy as that.

 

I can tell you. though, that you would be able to find something for basically free that is more powerful than your rig. If you look around at yard sales, Goodwill / 2nd hand stores, you can find some decent stuff. Maybe give this a try!

 

I will tell you also that I recently purchased a used (in great condition and works well) r9 290 for $150.00 USD. This card released for around $400. So you can really get some great deals if you look for opportunities.

 

Obviously it doesn't matter what your rig is, it matters that you enjoy tech and it interests you. I just think that if you really wanted a better system, you could have it.

For people hating the font. I clearly stated in the article sorry for the format. If you really want me to apologize again. Sorry. But don't you think why would they include it on the font options of course some people prefer Comics Sans. I'm one of those. Just asking for your understanding. Not what you want. You know you really can just please all the people. so all I can say if you're really interested by the way. I'm planning to do a follow up showing what's inside our 12 year old computer. And I promise I won't use the Comics Sans font. Point taken.

 I know how you feel man, I was on a Pentium 4 for a while while all my friends had 6-Core this and 8-Core that.. But my work actually gives the old computers away to charity and if a worker asks for one then they get one.. I got one with a Xeon 3530 and a Quadro inside it

Yes. Way too much hardware snobbery goes around on the internet, makes me annoyed every time.

 

Don't take things to heart, people's opinions are based off their beliefs, this doesn't make them right.

 

Also don't start frowning at Linus, perhaps in this clip he isnt making fun of old computers, but literally thinks that hardware isn't still in use.

Till last November i was using a 8 year old pc. You really dont need to spend nearly as much to get a decent experience now.

I agree, hardware snobbery is everywhere now days. It wasn't that long ago I was pushing a Pentium 4 beyond balls to the walls just to play Crysis (P4 520j at 4.2GHz on a stock cooler) and a 7950GT.

 

Admittedly today I have a much better PC than then, but that was the rig before I got this one. Heck I still play around with older and slower hardware because it's fun! I have several E5200's here, some Celerons, did have a P4 but I turned that into a keychain dangly thingy

 

I recently repaired a computer for an older fellow that was running a Pentium 3 533MHz (the old Slot 1 type). Caps had bust on the motherboard, swapped then and it was as good as new. Any other person would have chucked it away or if he took it somewhere else to be repaired (which he did initially) they told him to throw it away and get a new one. He loved that little P3, I can't imagine him upgrading it to be honest because it's what he's used to. I wasn't even going to charge him for repair but he gave me a tenner for doing it anyway.
