Haven't played XY yet but I heard that they are decent, but ORAS is amazing.

XY was pretty decent, but thought ORAS was a bit better

Or even protect, to allow outplays in doubles.

I love comboing Protect with Mega Evolution.  Especially with Pokémon that start out slower than their Mega forms.

Pokemon used to be pretty much the only game I played a couple years ago. :P

 

Got into it around 2009 with Platinum and then played as many different games from the series as I could since. I did a lot of competitive battling (with Smogon tiers of course, never could truly get into doubles) from around 2010-2013. I was also really into the TCG and went to a lot of tournaments. I haven't been as active in the games after the 6th gen came out; but I still like to play it as a side hobby and am trying to motivate myself to get back into the competitive aspect of the game. I'm just way too lazy these days to actually IV breed and EV train my team...

They've actually made IV and EV training quite a bit easier in Gen VI with the changes made to the Destiny Knot and the inclusion of Horde Battles.

 

Sweet Scent also gives you a guaranteed chance to encounter a Pokémon Horde  :)

My friends would always come to me raging because I was beating them every time in battles lol! Only 1 of my friends was competitive enough to give me a run of my money, then wifi came in dpp and got a reality check.

Yeah, i was disappointed with the amount of content in XY, and team flare weren't that interesting, but ORAS always had something interesting around each corner.

Arceus, yeah.

Generation 4 (the generation with Diamond, Pearl and Soulsilver) was good, but many people who like that gen also like Black and White..

I thought Black and White were pretty good :) 

 

But the latest few were cool too and you can get a 2DS with Alpha Sapphire or Omega Ruby (difitally) included for like 120 now

deffinetly gonna look into that. Black and white kinda lost me on the art, I REALLY love the style of gen4. The game just seemed "short" to me as well. I still enjoyed enjoyed though.

Shining Raichu or a Raichu cards with a shiny coat on it?

Troll and Toad (a Pokemon TCG sell site, not a buyer or value site to be honest) has it at 50 dollars if it is mint condition, 35 if slightly damaged.

But chances are high that it is quite damaged, so can you provide a picture so I can give some advice?

Some sold listings of it on ebay (not the first edition, assumed you have the normal version)

lol  Why did the other guy forfeit?  A critical hit at the right time would've busted right through the Stockpiled defense and could've won him the battle.  A rare thing for certain, but sometimes RNG can turn in your favor and win you a battle.

 

Like when some bastard hit my Garchomp with an Ice Punch from his Weavile and froze it, winning him the battle ;_;

He was setting up weavile in order to outpace me, but he then realised I was unaware :D even if he critted me, he would be long dead.
