R9 380 vs GTX 960 vs R9 370

I'm on a relatively low budget so I want to make sure I get a card that is the best for its price. Will the Asus 370 strix be enough for newer games or will I need a 380/960 to keep up?

 

I don't know much about graphics cards so any help is great

380 is the way to go.

If I didn't have enough for the 380 but just enough for the 370 would it be worth waiting an extra 3/4 months for the 380 or just go for the 370?

r7-370 a.k.a r7-265 a.k.a HD 7850. Nope.

 

960/380 will do a better job but not really a powerful cards, depend on what game you'll be playing btw.

i read somewhere that if overclocking both gtx 960 and r9 380 the gtx 960 would have better perfomance than the r9 380. Is this true ?

It depends on how far you can overclock both the cards. If the 960 is a shit overclocker, the 380 would win and vice versa.

380, dont go 960 its shit for the price acording to me

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Budget is around £100 but obviously the cards for that price aren't as powerful as the slightly more expensive ones so then push it up to around £150ish
