War Thunder.

Was easily able to keep myself at or around 60 FPS on pretty high/ ultra-ish settings back when I was still using my GTX 470. Though I lost around 15-20 FPS from just switching to a GTX 560 Ti (which is a very similar GPU, but 280MB less VRAM) so I'd say 1 gig of VRAM is right around the pain threshold.

Don't really know how CPU intensive it is though, as my 3570K has never been clocked less than 4.7 Ghz.

It's a beautiful game though as it scales really well (I'd say from 1-4)

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Isnt farcry 3 pretty demanding..

I like this thread. I have a nice computer with the exception of a old GFX card and I mean OLD. All these games help. Do a lot of people still play BF3? I think I will try to run it. I have 8gb ram, a 3570K i5. the only issue is a ATI 1950x GFX card..

But after the 1.01 patch it runs so smooth on a very poor rig. Not very demanding, you can easily play it on 60 FPS at med to high settings.

Are you talking Farcry3 or BF3?

that game is very easy on the system I was playing it at 70-80fps on integrated graphics with only 3.5gbRAM usable

My votes go to

Counter Strike series (1)

FTL (1)

Sim City 4 (1)

Europa Universalis IV(1)

Kerbal Space Program (2)

Hearthstone (1)

All of those will run on a netbook except for KSP, which runs fine on any ultrabook unless you start building large 100+ part craft.

Old classics:

Sacred,

Gothic 1, 2, 2 + expansion. 3 is also nice.

RISEN 1! - it's the real Gothic 4, it rocks the party.

Neverwinter Nights 2.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1&2

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy and Outcast

Mount & Blade Warband

Beyond Good and Evil (my personal favorite, a vibrant world by Michael Ancel the creator of Rayman series, the graphics are stunning to this day even though everything about them is outdated, i love it)

Disciples II

Project Freedom (Starmageddon II) - a nice little and rather easy to play 3D space fighter simulator.

The above should run on pretty much any graphics card + CPU combo at least on low settings, I don't believe somebody has a problem running Beyond Good and Evil for example. Warband and Risen are pretty new but far from demanding.

There are so many more I could recommend, basically have most of those old classics in my Steam Library and besides some indie titles i got by accident from bundles, I can recommend all the games i have in my library.

Has anybody here played Scrapland? It's one of those little fun 3D games, made by American's McGee. You play as a robot who lands on a world made of scrap (hence the title) and you get involved into the life of locals.

Nice list, I just installed Jedi Academy and it seems like a great adventure game! Do you know how long it takes to beat?

Just FYI I went ahead and got Battlefield 3 to try out on my system, I was expecting $19.99, but on Origin it is 70% off so it's $4.99 if anyone is interested.

Skyrim (heavily dependent on what mods you use).

Anyone who has a sister hates the fact that his sister isn't Kasugano Sora.
Anyone who does not have a sister hates the fact that Kasugano Sora isn't his sister.
I'm not insulting anyone; I'm just being condescending. There is a difference, you see...
